If you’re a passionate angler, you haven’t fished until you have fished from the Saltwater Sports Fishing Capital of the World, The Florida Keys. Our holidays to the Florida Keys are based on the original grounds of the famous Long Key Fishing Camp, the birth place of modern sport-fishing and deeply enriched with angling history.

Not only will you walk in the footprints and fish the same flats as famous anglers like Zane Grey, Herbert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt and Ernest Hemmingway, but you will fish for some of the same species that made Long Key so special for them - Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Grouper and the various species of shark. Flights into Miami run daily, and from Miami Long Key is just a short bus ride or drive by hire car. Airport transfers can be arranged.
Your accommodation will be the beautiful Edgewater Lodge, situated on the west tip of Long Key, which is a remote and peaceful Island half way between Islamorada and Marathon. Upon your arrival you will be shown to your apartments. Each apartment is self catering - all apartments are well equipped and share a swimming pool, 'Tiki huts', and BBQ area. Edgewater Lodge has its own private beach and is renowned for its uninterrupted views of Florida’s famous sunsets across Florida bay.

Because of its position, Long Key offers the travelling angler unrivalled, unpressured fishing for some of the world’s most sought after species. Tarpon up to 100lbs, big Bonefish and Permit can be caught all year round. During the months of February to July, huge Tarpon from 100-150lbs and bigger, are a daily experience for many visiting anglers. Within a few miles of your dock, massive sharks (Bull, Lemon, Black-tip and Hammerhead) and Goliath Grouper, in excess of 200lbs are regularly caught. Other local species include Snappers, Snook, Barracuda, Jacks, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Sea Trout, Amberjack and Cobia etc, and that’s just inshore. Good shore fishing can be found from Long Key Bridge, from Long Key State park, and from right outside the backdoor of your accommodation on the docks at Edgewater Lodge.

Long Key State Park with its mangroves and sandy beaches is opposite Edgewater Lodge, and there are numerous activities to do locally including swimming with dolphins, diving and snorkelling when you are not fishing.
Nearby there are plenty of restaurants, lots of vibrant bars and great souvenir shopping. Edgewater Lodge and Long Key will suit couples, families, specialist anglers, fishing groups and clubs, looking for a piece of paradise with excellent fishing all year round!
A basic Long Key fishing holiday is for 7 nights and includes five guided boat fishing trips - 10 and 14 night holidays can be arranged on request. All holidays are tailor made to requirements. All tackle is provided.
