A delightful, modern, bungalow on the shore of Doon Lake, where Nancy and Niall O’Donnell provide a typical and friendly Irish Welcome. The lake which is renowned for its coarse fishing is 30 metres from the front gate and is surrounded by woods and hills. All rooms are standard with single beds offering quality B & B accommodation.

There are both large and small lakes plus some river fishing. Doon Lake has vast shoals of bream, roach, rudd and some dace! Bags of 40-80lb are common. Pike fishing is good early in the year and in the autumn. Among the other, better
known lakes are Bridget, Kilgory and Shandanghan, where
you will find tench and prime rudd.

The owners have a tackle storage room and a cold room. It is possible to order bait and groundbait in advance and boats are available to hire. Anglers seeking good entertainment have the local pubs and the mediaeval banquets, held at both Bunratty and Knappogue castles.
