Sotra Rorbusenter, south-west on the island of Sotra outside Bergen, about 35 minutes' drive from Bergen or Bergen Airport, Flesland, lies in a picturesque setting in a shallow bay, and is a great spot for fishing.

Whether you want to fish, rent a boat, go on a fishing trip on a charter boat, go walking, bathe in the jacuzzi or just relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, Sotra Rorbusenter is the place for you.

Sotra Rorbusenter has seven "rorbu" (traditional fishermen's style) apartments which sleep up to six people. Each apartment has two bedrooms, a combined sitting room/kitchen and a nice bathroom/washroom. Jacuzzi, sauna, and a reception/kiosk where you can buy basic items and fishing equipment are also available on site.

At Sotra Rorbusenter you can rent a boat for a couple of hours or per day. We have self-drive boats with outboard motors and wooden boats with diesel engines. There are good fishing spots just a couple of minutes' drive from the centre. If you do not wish to drive a boat yourself, you can enjoy fishing straight from the quay or you can go on a fishing trip on a charter boat with a skipper in the fjord or in the open sea around islets and skerries. It takes 15 mins to reach one of the best fishing marks in the open sea. Large amounts of cod come into the fjords in winter to spawn so Sotra Rorbusenter is a great place for you if you like fishing at all times of the year.
