| Gaardselva – The fishing-season is from 1st June to 31st August. In Langevannet the fishing season is from 1st June to 14th September. Gaardselva can be fished for 2.5 km from the nature reserve by the ocean. There are about 40 good fishing spots/pools in this river. This is said to be the best flyfishing river in Vesteraalen.
Aaelva/Aanesvatnet/Aanesvassdraget – is a very good “small salmon water system” with 15 km of good fishing opportunities. Ånesvatnet (Aanes-lake) have good populations of brown-trout and arctic char in addition to the sea-trout and salmon. In the 2005 season over 1000 salmon were caught in Åelva(Aa-river) of which 58 was over 3 kg. Å-elva is Norway's only national salmon watercourse.
Forfjordelva River – this river can be fished for about 4-5 km from the sea/river border. This river has 25-30 good fishing spots/pools. This is a good sea trout river but there is also salmon going up this stream.
Buksnesvassdraget (water system) – In this water system there are many exciting fishing possibilities. There is a special pool down by the ocean where the salmon stop before swimming up the river; this place is very good for lure and bait fishing. Teinvatnet (pond/lake) is the next little lake in this system, all the seatrout and salmon must pass through this little lake to get up to Mellavatnet and Langvatnet. To fish in Teinvatnet you need to enter a lottery, and only 2 fishing cards are sold here per day.
