Furøy Fishing Camp overlooks Reisfjordenin in the Troms area of Northern Norway, only 30 minutes drive from Bardufoss airport.

The Fishing: Types of fish include cod, halibut, coalfish, redfish, wolfish, ling, cusk and pollack. In recent years, catches have included several cod over 45lbs (one up to 57lb).   

Accommodation: Furøy Fishing Camp offers excellent accommodation, scenery and fishing opportunities, and much more. With a total sleeping capacity of up to 15 guests, there are two apartments and also a three bedroom house (the Skipper House).

Each apartment sleeps up to four persons, is modern and has a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom with shower. Rental of an apartment includes the use of a
self-drive boat.

The Skipper House is a restored old building which comprises of three bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway, two shower-rooms and two toilets. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, and can sleep up to seven people. Rental of the house also includes the use of two self-drive boats. Each property has storage facility for tackle and a chest freezer where you can store your catch. 

The Boats:
The 18ft Silver Viking boats have 25hp engines and are fitted with echosounders.  On arrival guests are given a safety briefing and a tour of the camp and advised how to operate the boats and facilities. 

Facilities: On-site there is a sauna, a solarium, an outdoor wood-fired hot-tub, and wireless internet access (charged locally).

The nearest shops are located in the nearby town of Sorreisa.  Your hosts would be happy to do your shopping for you or you could accompany them on the shopping trip.  Alternatively, a minibus is available to hire -
ideal for exploring the area.

Other activities can be arranged: Skippered fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and water skiing.
