Surrounded by oxygen-rich, crystal-clear mountain streams, the village lies at the foot of the Großglockner mountain. Above the village, at the foot of the Daba Gorge, we find the Nationalpark-Hotel Taurerwirt.

The centre for trout fishing in the vicinity, it makes an ideal accommodation for fly anglers and their families.

With extremely comfortably furnished rooms, the Taurerwirt Inn contains a sauna, solarium, swimming pool, a fitness centre, tennis courts, adventure playground and recreation park. The innkeeper and hotel's mountain guide offer a variety-filled sports and social programme including hiking tours with carefully selected degrees of difficulty.
